In 1974, the foundation stone for sailing in Croatia was laid with the opening of the Marina Kornati. In the meantime, up to 750 sailing yachts, motorboats or catamarans can enter and anchor there. The harbour entrance is 40m wide and 6.50m deep. Biograd is known for the largest Croatian boat show, which takes place annually at the end of October on the grounds of the Marina Kornati, with around 50,000 visitors.
With a yacht charter from the charter partner base in Biograd, you can explore the Kornati archipelago and stop for a swim on secluded beaches. The Pašman Channel and the islands of Pašman, Uglijan, Ist, Iž, Molat, Olib and Žut are ideally accessible.
The months from April to October are best for a sailing holiday. Nevertheless, sailing is also possible in the off-season, as the weak currents and mild tides make the 150 islands of Kornati a popular sailing destination all year round.
