Split is an oasis, even during the winter months. Today’s Split is a modern metropolis, sporting prestigious economical and cultural institutions (Diocletian’s palace), universities and attractive beaches (also near the ACI marina) and a famous sand beach – the Copacabana of Split “Bacvice”. Split has also become known for being one of the filming locations of the world famous TV series “Game of thrones”.
Arriving at Split by sea through the port entrance is a breath taking experience: The palm tree lined Riva, in front of the late roman palace and towering over everything, the bell tower of the cathedral. What a panorama!
Cruise from Split to the world famous medieval towns of Hvar and Korcula, as also to the islands of Mljet, Vis, Lastovo and Bisevo. The coastline is phantastic, with its fjord-like bays and beaches. Split is world famous amongst the yachting community.
There is a small shop within the vicinity of the marina. The town, approx. 10 minutes on foot, has all the amenities and a daily farmer and fish market. The supermarkets TOMMY, PLODINE and LIDL are about 5 minutes via car from the marina and are also open Sundays.
Within the Split marina are the restaurants ZRNO SOLI, ADRIATIC GRASO, VELUM and JUGO. They are very good restaurants with fish and meat on the menu. There is also a pizza restaurant, SKIPPER which has an absolutely amazing view of Split.
The marina has parking. The fees are approx. € 10,00/day. Not far from the marina there are private parking spaces for approx. €50,00/week.
The airport Split/Trogir is approx. 25 km from the ACI marina Split. We are happy to organise transfer for you. Arrival is easy due to the connection with the motorway.
If you arrive by plane, we will gladly arrange your transfer by taxi, minivan or shuttle bus and bring you to the marina.
