The Kornati Cup stands not only for top sporting performance, but also for strong partnerships within the yachting industry.
Among this year’s partners are renowned shipyards such as Dufour Yachts and BAVARIA Yachts, whose one design classes ensure exciting and fair racing:
- Dufour 41 Performance: sporty, modern and ideal for ambitious regatta crews, while also being perfectly suited to relaxed summer sailing thanks to generous space and easy handling

This year, Yachten Meltl is once again joining as a sponsor, bringing extensive expertise in yacht sales.
Together, these partnerships highlight how closely the passion for sailing is connected with regatta racing, yacht ownership and charter management, while opening up exciting new opportunities.
Dufour Yachts Tec Race Service at the Kornati Cup: greater performance on the water
During the Kornati Cup, Dufour offers all participants a special added benefit with its complimentary Tec Race Service, a comprehensive support package for regatta crews. Before and after the races, the team is available on board to provide valuable advice on fine tuning and strategy.
What this means in practice:
- On site technical support: experts check trim and equipment to ensure everything is set up for optimum performance.
- Fine tuning, performance adjustments and tactical guidance: small refinements can make all the difference, and practical advice helps improve results on the water.
- Focus on one design racing for optimum performance: all boats remain directly comparable, ensuring fairness and equal opportunities.
The Kornati Cup route: sailing through one of Europe’s most beautiful island worlds
The route leads from Biograd na Moru via Sali and Piškera to Murter and back to Biograd, right through the unique Kornati archipelago with its spectacular natural scenery and demanding navigation.
Registration begins on Saturday, when yachts are checked over, start numbers are assigned and the first crews arrive. Many use the weekend to familiarise themselves with the boat, train on the water and, of course, catch up with old sailing friends.
Sunday brings the first major highlight: the Kornati Cup is officially opened in Biograd, and this year the occasion is especially memorable as it marks the anniversary edition, 25 years of the Kornati Cup. Live music, a vibrant atmosphere and an international line up of participants create the perfect start.
Monday: from Biograd to Sali
The first leg leads to Sali, a charming town on Dugi Otok Island. Known for its long standing sardine fishing tradition, Sali now delights sailors above all with its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The town also has plenty to offer in culinary terms: numerous restaurants, inviting bars, especially the popular Maritimo, and a large supermarket right by the quay make Sali the perfect stopover for crews.
On arrival, participants are welcomed with a giant pan of risotto, a sociable gathering where sailors can exchange stories and look back on the first day of racing. In the evening, the legendary Gin and Tonic Party takes place aboard the regatta crew’s vessel led by organiser Klaus Pitter.

Tuesday: onward to Piškera
The race to Piškera is one of the scenic highlights of the week. Depending on the wind and weather, the course offers a varied sailing experience through the island landscape of the Kornati archipelago.
Piškera itself is a small, secluded marina in the heart of the national park, reserved exclusively for the regatta crews. Here, the sailing community comes together in a truly unique atmosphere right along the pontoons.
In the evening, representatives of Dufour Yachts invite participants to the Pelinkovac Party, a popular gathering for conversation, networking and authentic regatta spirit.
Wednesday: setting course for Murter
The leg to Murter combines sporting challenge with cultural flair. Murter is regarded as the gateway to the Kornati Islands and is one of the region’s most important departure points for sailors.
The island and the town of the same name offer the perfect blend of tradition and modern infrastructure. In the evening, participants can look forward to a culinary treat: a variety of pasta dishes, from classic lasagne to creative vegetarian specialities.

The final race leads back to Biograd, where the Kornati Cup comes to its festive conclusion. During the prize giving ceremony, the top crews are honoured before celebrations continue late into the night to energetic DJ sounds, very much in keeping with the tradition of previous years.
On Friday, many crews begin their journey home, while others enjoy one last relaxed day of sailing along the Dalmatian coast.
More than just a regatta
