Kornati Cup, the start of the sailing season

The anticipation of the cult regatta and relaxing days on the water is palpable. Mastering the wind and weather conditions as well as the sailing challenges together and feeling the connection with nature. ⛵

➡️ For many, the Kornati Cup is the beginning of the new sailing season. Named after the sea of islands in the breath-taking Kornati archipelago, the Kornati Cup is more than just a sporting event. To the Kornati Cup Website

In 2024, participants from 20 nations 🌍 will compete and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Kornati archipelago while sailing together. Professional and amateur sailors from all over the world will give their best as a crew and as a team.
Many crews have been taking part for years and are looking forward to a reunion on board and the sporting challenge of regatta sailing as well as spending time together in the fresh air, far away from everyday life. 😊

New at the Kornati Cup: Charter class with & without spinnaker

In 2024, in addition to the standard classes, there will be a new Pitter Yachtcharter charter class with its own rating for the first time. Pitter Yachtcharter has therefore paid particular attention to its customers to make regatta sailing on charter boats more attractive. The Kornati Cup is an event for all sailing enthusiasts, regardless of whether they are new to regattas or already experienced regatta sailors.

Our cult regatta, the Kornati Cup, creates unforgettable memories year after year.

Route and program of the Kornati Cup 2024

This year's route: Biograd - Sali - Biograd - Žut - Biograd
➡️ Due to reconstruction work in Murter, there is a change in the route of the Kornati Cup this year: the sailors will start in Biograd and head for the lovely little island town of Sali on Dugi Otok. The island of Žut is also a stage destination again. This changed route promises new sailing challenges for the participants.

The Kornati Cup program kicks off on Saturday afternoon with the first opportunity to register in Biograd, which will continue Sunday morning. The popular crew photos will be taken on Sunday. Many crews will also use Sunday for a final training session before the official opening of the regatta. The ceremonial launch will take place on Sunday evening at the Aquacenter Biograd.

The regatta days at a glance:
  • On Monday, after breakfast in the marina restaurant and the skipper's briefing, we set off on the first race towards Sali, the first destination of the regatta, where the participants are expected to enjoy a sailors' dinner and a regatta party on the jetty.
  • On Tuesday, the races will take us back to Biograd. The sailors' dinner will take place in Marina West. The evening may be spent at your leisure.
  • Wednesday: After breakfast together, we will set off in the direction of Kornati National Park with the destination Žut. The sailors' dinner will be served at the Festa restaurant, followed by a Cuba Libre party hosted by our sponsor team: Team Elvström/Yachts Meltl and Bavaria Yachts.
  • On Thursday, the last day of the regatta, we will return to Biograd. After hopefully very varied and successful sailing days, we look forward to welcoming all participants back safely. With a festive award ceremony and the big Kornati Cup closing party with DJ GEE, we will end the last evening of the Kornati Cup 2023 in the Aquacenter with lots of fun and great food.
