About the Author

Thomas Käsbohrer discovered his passion for sailing later in life – but all the more intensely. Growing up by the Bavarian lakes, he first set foot on a large yacht at the age of 38. By 54, he had turned his passion into a profession:

• He writes books about his solo sailing journeys across the Mediterranean to Scotland.
• Together with Ümit Uzun, he publishes the podcast "Sailing is More" on sailing-related topics.
• His own millemari Verlag has published 6 volumes of the Region Compass as well as the Bay Finder.
• In his seminars, he imparts practical knowledge about regional sailing – from thunderstorm and strong wind strategies to safe anchoring.
