As the charter season draws to a close and temperatures fall, our experienced service team begins the important process of winterising the yachts. So that our guests can once again step aboard perfectly maintained, safe and reliable yachts next season, we leave nothing to chance.

Thorough cleaning inside and out

Before any technical work begins, each yacht is cleaned meticulously. Salt, grime and deposits are carefully removed to prevent corrosion and material damage. Inside, every area is inspected, sanitised and prepared for the winter break.

Professional care and maintenance

After the deep clean comes expert care, both outside and within. Our service teams ensure every detail is taken care of:

  • Sails and accessories: Sails are taken down, cleaned and repaired or replaced where required. Tenders are stored safely and under cover.
  • Interior and exterior areas: Hull and deck, woodwork, upholstery, painted surfaces and fittings are treated and preserved with care to extend service life and retain the yacht’s value.
  • Mechanical and onboard systems: Then comes the technical inspection. Engine, electrics, rigging and all onboard systems are checked, serviced and, where necessary, repaired. The water tanks are cleaned mechanically.
  • Plumbing and onboard toilets: The entire plumbing system is also inspected. The onboard toilets receive particularly careful maintenance. Toilets are removed, pumps disassembled, seals and valves checked and replaced where required, hoses cleaned, flushed and descaled. This thorough service ensures reliable operation and helps prevent typical issues, in particular those caused by incorrect use. In addition, the sewage tanks are carefully disinfected.

Our objective

Every yacht should be ready for immediate use in spring. Technically, visually and hygienically in flawless condition and fully equipped.

Peace of mind for the next season

Winterising is more than routine. It is an investment in durability, safety and comfort on board. When you charter with Pitter you can trust that every yacht is professionally winterised, carefully maintained and kept in impeccable technical condition for the new season.

While other providers may have to cut back on service and quality in challenging times, we deliberately prioritise sustainability, safety and comfort, with no compromise.

Because quality, safety and trust are the foundation of a carefree charter holiday.

We look forward to welcoming you back to one of our bases next year. If you nevertheless decide otherwise, please take care whom you trust. Offers with supposedly high discounts or one hundred percent prepayment can be deceptive. They often indicate financial pressure and can come at the expense of maintenance, service and safety.
