We have enjoyed a long-standing collaboration with Thomas Schedina, the publisher of the Konoba Guide. This guide is a unique culinary roadmap along the Croatian coast, showcasing the finest konobas, taverns, restaurants, and gourmet spots on the Adriatic.
Whether it's lamb slow-cooked under a peka bell, hearty ćevapčići, fresh fish carpaccio with truffles, or scampi brodetto – Croatian cuisine is diverse and offers something for every palate. Thomas Schedina, a renowned Croatia expert and seasoned culinary author, has personally tested all the featured establishments and provides detailed insights into dishes, drinks, and ambiance in his Gourmet Stars. The range spans from authentic family-run konobas to trendy gourmet temples.
The current edition, “Gourmet Stars 4” (Edition 2025), focuses on the islands of Central Dalmatia, presenting 26 selected venues, complemented by striking photos, maps, nautical infrastructure, and contact details. The texts are penned by Judith Duller-Mayrhofer, an experienced journalist and author in the nautical field, ensuring an enjoyable read and consistently high quality.
